I took your advice Graham. It took me awhile to realize, but the octogenarian couple next to me have a rather rock solid beat! :o

I dig yer avatar!
My current avatar is from a bible ventriloquist vinyl release. There's some disturbing stuff out there which must have scared the shit out of children back in the day. Plus I like the idea of ventriloquism on vinyl - how can you tell if the artist is any good because you just don't know if their lips are moving !!
Little Marcy is probably the best known in this genre (and very straightforward and innocent songs about Jesus) but I feel you haven't lived until you've heard Phyllis Barnard & Joey with their version of "This little light of mine".

I was surprised to find out there was, apparently an entire genre of "Religious Ventriloquists" out there, back in the day.
Yes, and there are people who collect those records!

The Meathead continues to be my "Death in a box" effect. In the last week I havent unplugged it from my rig once, only adding other effects, with which it interacts tremendously. Even with my Moog 12 stage phaser it gets a sound that stays as thick as "two short planks" to borrow a familiar phrase. I know I'm probably not telling anyone here anything they dont know already, but the MH is at its best when both "level" and "attack" are full on, with the filter knob straight noon. I'm also surprised at how interactive the two knobs are. I notice that the level knob has different characteristics as you turn it up. I have and still own many fuzz pedals, all of them have varying degrees of thickness, from a FF type fuzz with very little low end, to the Meathead, which has massive low end. Just a killer pedal all 'round. Highly recommended.
