I have tried my hand optimistically for many months now sometimes with results more often not - what I did do was start to tabulate the "appearance" times and it has been argued elsewhere that we in England are at a disadvantage over our American cousins with their proximity to the ebay servers - having watched the score pretty manically to be truthful - I am convinced that is correct - but I still try my hand - its a bit like a too large line of something powdery in that if you succeed you have blown a lot of money in seconds but winning or not you still end up with that shaking hand & crushing pulse rate and (in my case at least) the frisson of asking myself if my heart can take it yet again or is it going to be this time that it packs in!! Well - as usual I'm rambling again but I am pumped with getting that last ped! On a related & fun topic why don't we start a league table - kind of a competitor sport - we could even try for national teams! I really started this posting just to put on record just how gobsmacked I was by some of the speeds being achieved this batch - below I give you the figures (as seconds in existence before being sold) tabulated under ebay titles: 11.30 USA +15secs Swe + 19secs 2.30 AUS +14secs USA + 17secs 5.30 USA +17secs USA + 32secs 8.30 USA +10!!!!! UK + 15secs 11.30 UK +15secs UK + 30secs Well - I think that is an impressive set of figures - I crept in on 30 - hardly believed it but the true victors laurel wreath has to go to our "eniaea" at an exact 10 seconds - if you are here yet then please do tell us how its done (if not then its only a matter of time - seems that we all find our way to Daves in the end - and you can answer when you do turn up) - are you bionic? or a programmer or do you have some form of fuzz addiction induced extra sensory detection! - maybe youre an alien??whatever the case congratulations to you (and everyone else!) I was actually working in the basement of the University Library sorting through someone's donated collection of vintage porno and erotica (we actually keep quite an extensive catalog of this stuff for "researchers"). I decided to take a break at about 2:20 my time and visited the forum and realized that there was an auction coming up at about 2:30. I tried my hand, unsuccessfully, with the Ram's Head batch a while back with no luck. So, I thought I would try again. The computer I used was a piece of junk with a sticky keyboard and crapped-out mouse. It was super slow when I was searching our catalog earlier in the day, but for some reason when I hit the refresh button at 2:30 the Meathead was there and I just clicked on it as fast as I could. Keep in mind, after loosing about 4 attempts on those Ram's Heads, I was a bundle of nerves with an itchy trigger finger. I honestly wasn't expecting much based on where I was and the equipment I had at my disposal. I am very pleased that I landed one them and can't wait to play it! So, all things considered, a pretty nice day at work for me.

I landed one of the 11.30 batch, after spending 5 minutes solid hitting refresh every 3 seconds. I refreshed it once too often too, as it appeared and I missed it. I was in a Refresh groove and had to click BACK pretty sharply! I feared I'd blown my chance, but I scoped one! Yee haw! Made up for the 3 times my sister tried for me while she was in work :P Can't wait to get this pedal lit up!

I have my fingers crossed that my Meathead Deluxe shows up tomorrow :) I can not wait to give this bad mofo a spin!!
