Just got the meat in the mail. My first taste of D.A.M. and well, not exactly what I was expecting, but very tasty none the less. I can definetly see where the reputation comes from. Nice pedal. Still need to mess with it but suprisingly for a meathead, my favorite sound so far is with my guitar vol. turned back a bit for a nice dirty grind.

An update to my previous post: This is by far the best pedal I own! I am so glad I am on the waiting list for a one-knob meat! It will be nice to see how they compare...I am a believer This thing cleans up so nice, the perfect fuzz.

I never really considered a Meathead, but hearing your comments, it has me reconsidering. The Big Muff is about as far as I had gone into the fuzz realm, before all this. hmm...maybe another one to think about when the time comes. :)

Well........................when I got home there was a note to go pick up my pedal at the post office!!! Man this little mofo is a BEAST!!! I love it!! This is my first DAM pedal and now I am bitten by the bug :lol: :lol: World Class all the way! The sound out of this little pedal is HUGE! I can not wait for the others to arrive :D :D

ah yes, the meathead... the last of the DAM standard line i aquired and din't reallt think i'd like but since then i've owned four or five and love the little bastards, i still have four and they all have their own personalities that make them beautiful :). they don't really actually sound like Ronson's fuzz, but it's the first think that comes to mind when i play through a meathead.. like Aladdin Sane era Ronson.

The MEATHEAD is in the house!! David packs and wraps his pedals with just as much meticulous care as he runs his auctions, and as he builds his pedals. When Then Walls Came Tumblin' Down
I wote a similar description of the madness that ensued last nite over in the Meathead section, so I'll try to keep it short here. Its now dawn, and the sonic armageddon that erupted out of my small apartment was enough to wake the dead, consequently damning my soul to eternal damnation. I started to wonder if a fuzz could blow up an amp, and just then, I thought I started to see, and smell smoke! After a couple hours of an exhausting series of "manifestations" I sat down on the couch and fell asleep, guitar still strapped, and woke up about an hour ago, waiting for the sun to rise and shine to start another day of auditory annihilation. These little bundles of dynamite called "fuzz boxes" should be labeled as hazardous material. The back lid has some interesting advice from Linzi, of which you all would do well to heed: "Ignore alien orders". Will do, Linzi, will do. MG
