MYSTERY ITALIAN BOARD - ?? FUZZ ?? - HELP PLEASE
Some time ago I bought some Jen pedals from a delightful Italian fellow - I put the pics up here under the title (approx only as my memory is dreadful) of "Family shots from Pescara" The guy told me that he had in mind to send me a gift along with the pedals and that brings me to my purpose in these hallowed areas of the forum - I realise that many here rarely stray into other less techy areas preferring the world of breadboards and transistor leakage factors - and I freely admit that my own ability with a soldering iron borders on that of a hamster - I can manage to sort the tubes out on simple amps and I did once manage to make the easiest BYOC fuzz (and had a good deal of boxing day fun doing so) it worked for a few days but it wasn't pretty!! What I have here is a stripped out board that appears to be a fuzz but I am basing that on the two transistors (which aren't marked) and a pretty tropical fish cap! There appear to be six unconnected areas of wiring visible on the upper surface and a couple of unexplained areas of solder on the underside in the corners opposite the "printed lettering" of the board. I am hoping that your accumulated expertise can come up with some answers and hopefully even an easy enough description of what I might try to get it back to life.... here are the pics and if anybody needs any more info then ask here and I will do my best to answer you :? edit - I have done my usual awful job with the pics - I spent over 45 minutes cropping them and making sure they all matched up to make for a tidy posting and the whole bloody thing has reverted back to the earlier pics despite my using the "overwrite existing image option" - bloody computers!

Hi Dragonfly - that looks like the one although as I admitted my expertise just might reattach a battery clip without setting fire to the board! :?: Could you - or anyone else - please guide me through what I would need to attach where to bring some chance of life back to this one :) btw - loved those pedals you put up on some of the other threads - I am yet to taste anything Monsterpiece flavoured (although I guess there are inevitabilities involved) but I do have a very interesting Dice Works pedal on the way from Erich which doubtless will sound great but probably would benefit from a custom paint job - so yours are very thought provoking! This is a great place where all kinds of kindred spirits get washed up together - I'm glad you found it too! Best - G

I'm looking forward to participating here in the future. I'll look over the board and draw up a diagram for re-wiring it in a bit... got basketball on now and then hockey after, so it will be tonight or tomorrow before I get to it...
