Newbie Question I’m new to Fuzz pedals and have purchased a 1966 and Euthymia Fuzz trying to get some early Stooges fuzzed out tones. First of all I play rhythm mostly very few leads so is a fuzz pedal even a good option?
Setup is simple, Matamp LX> 1966>Red Rooster> Hamer Special with WCR Schredder or Goodwood depending on the guitar.
I normally play with the gain and overdrive at 12-1/ master at 10/11 thru a 2x12 comes out around 105dbs on my meter.
I step on the 1966 and wham volume drops, I'd have to measure it but a few DBs, noticable. The fuzz is well not cool sounding. I have the level cranked full on and the attack I’ve tried at various levels with no success.
I tried the Euthymia and similar results. I tried messing around a little with the gain on the amp reducing it but still it’s just not a buzzy fuzzy sound I’m looking for.
Thanks for your time.

Is the Red Rooster on when you kick on the fuzz?
You can try changing the order of your pedals to see if that helps you out at all.
