Hi, I have been trying to get information on the production and purchase of the 1966 pedal. I am in the US and none of the listed dealers have any information as to when the pedals will be in stock again. I e-mailed D*A*M and have not received a reply either. Is there anyone that has more current information? Any help would be appreciated. The 1966 pedal seems to be what I have been looking for.

Hey 1bottlerocket, I do apologize for the lack of reply! We are freakishly busy at present so I am a little slow on the emails. Have you tried Guitarville and/or Axe..and you shall receive??? They were the last US dealers to get 1966's Failing that, Guitarville are down for more and also Musictoyz and Tommy's guitar shop have them on order so you could reserve an incoming pedal with any of those guys. I am working on them now so all new stock will be around 4-5 weeks. Hope that helps Dave - Captain of the ship

Thanks much! :-)

Hey Bottlerocket, Shoot an email to Scott over at Axe and you shall receive, he should have them in stock. I picked up one from him just a couple of months ago. Hope it helps!! 8)

Thanks Electricbones, They must have sold out fast, they told me they didn't have any and did not know when they could expect more. I did write to Guitarville and they show as having a unit in stock. I haven't heard back yet though. Can hardly wait to get one :D I will keep you updated. Thanks everyone for the quick replies :D

Got 1966?
Hey bottlerocket! Just wondering if you had any luck with Guitarville? Also, just a head's up, The Captain has a couple of Drag'n'flys & Meatheads up on eBay right now. I own both & The Fly will get you very, very close to some of the 1966 tones - It's a really spectacular pedal (but all D*A*Ms are!!) Thought you should go have a look!! 8)

one of the US dealers will not allow me to reserve a pedal, even when I offer to pay in full- up front, and the others do not reply or say \"they have no idea\" when they are coming in. I guess they like to keep me in suspense along with everyone else. I am in Switzerland now and I am going to try to purchase one direct. The search coninues... Thanks everyone for all your replies and help :-)

Hi, I also recently sent an email question, but since i know you guys are all quite busy now, I decided to post here and see if I can get some feedback. For a long while now, I've been looking for a new fuzz pedal that will give a really thick/rich sound, while at the same time having great sustain which can last for really long periods of time. After all Ive read, and heard from the sound samples, I'm thinking that the MKII is the pedal for me (one fitted with either the OC82 of 81's). Do people here think that this is the best pedal for what Im looking for (far-reaching sustain and a thick sound)? Do people recommond the MKII, or a different one of the D*A*M pedals? Also, I've been ckecking at all the links to the US sales spots that are on the site and it seems that none of them have MKIIs in stock. Does anyone know anywhere that I could order an MKII? If not, is it known when they will be back in stock? Thanks for your time, adam

I do have to set my spam filter to high because of the amount of crap I have been getting through website address on a daily basis. This unfortunately can cut out a lot of genuine mail. Any how, it certainly sounds like the MKII could be the one. It does have excellent sustain cabalities and a very rich fuzz tone. While the tone is quite dense and thick it's not overly woolly like a Fuzz Face. The only possible thing about the MKII that could be a draw back is that the MKII really needs to see a clean amplifier to do its thing. Too much drive on the amp can over compress the MKII and it will start to mush up. Other options could be the Deluxe Meathead or the Ram Head. Both have very bold sonic capabilities and both have good sustain levels. These are both silicon based Fuzzes so don't have the natural warm of the MKII but they certainly have very thick tones when dialed in correctly. I am currently working on MKII's at present so most US dealers will have stock in 3-4 weeks time. Tone Factor will have stock in around a week’s time. I hope that helps :D Dave - Captain of the ship

Thanks for all the imput and the quick response. I'm gonna contact tone-factor now to see if theres anyone I can reserve one. Thanks for the help, adam

1bottlerocket- 10-25-2006

Good Luck contacting Tone Factor. The person I dealt with would not let me reserve on even when I offered to pay in full-up front for the pedal. Let me know if you have any luck! :-)

whiteelephant- 10-26-2006

Yea, I offered the same thing. He was nice and responded quickly to my request, but he said that there was a list of people on a waiting list in front of me, and that the chances would be slim that there would be one for me. I'm gonna keep searching and being persistant with these dealers till hopefully I get one that isnt sold out. The one good thing about this situation, is that it only confirms how great these pedals must be, if they are in so much demand. 8) I'm still just as excited as ever to eventually get one. btw- bottlerocket, were you ever able to get yours? -adam

No luck for me on getting a '66, I am hoping for a breakthrough though. I am also looking at the rams head as a hold over. I have nearly every version of the Big Muff and this one looks interesting until I can get my hands (and feet) on a 1966. Thanks for all the support everyone!
