One knob Meathead and Deluxe question
I am thinking about downsizing my deluxe for a one knob. I really only use one setting on the deluxe. I run it with volume and attack full tilt and the filter around noon (give or take a little bit either way). My question is can I get a similar tone with the one knob Meathead? Thanks in advance.

Whats the point? I'd stick with what you've got.

I would stick with what I've got but I need to purge a bit of gear due to unforeseen circumstances. Not that I want to but I not much of a choice. So I guess this is more for future reference when I can afford to purchase another Meathead.

I agree. Keep what you have. You'll never know when you want to stray from the one setting you mostly use or if a situation (i.e. recording) calls for it. IMO, versatility always wins out.

I hear ya guys and probably will just stick with what I have and not sell the pedal. Then just out of curiosity can the one knob get a similar sound out of the above setting?

I doubt you could nail that exact tone with a one knobber since you wouldn't have control over the filter. Just think that after paying paypal and possible ebay fee's, then finding a one knob meat and having to pay shipping, you won't have saved shit and will have an inferior pedal compared to what you started with. You should just be super happy you have a sweat pedal and find another one to sell instead.

aaland-brian is right - you'll get great tones from the single knob but it's a bit different to the deluxe. I have both, love them both and wouldn't get rid of them. If you sell you'll definately regret it.

Thanks for the response guys. The Deluxe stays for sure. Just cranked my amp up with it. I would definitely regret selling it and miss that ohh so beautiful tone. I am in a bind right now and strapped for cash so I had visions of selling it. Thanks for bringing me back to reality on that one . :wink: michiael good luck finding one.
