Please can you help me, what pedal have I got
I picked up a fuzz pedal at a local boot sale for a £1 and was wondering if anyone could give me any info on it. It's called a Sola Sound Tone-Bender Fuzz, is silver with orange writing. Inside the case it has a date of 24th June 1974 and it does work, sounds quite good actually. I would be happy to send pictures if someone can tell me how to upload them. I was also wondering if its worth anything (nothing knowing my luck). Thanks

WOW ! Mine has orange writing. I've done some more research and it has 3 germanium resistors (?) which apparently give it the good sound. Where do you think I would be best selling it. I'd never be able to do it justice with my playing !!javascript:emoticon(':lol:') Laughing

Ebay, definitely, Yeah, that would be three germanium "transistors".... I'm not the expert on these, but some folks here will know for sure, just give it a day, and check back here and you'll have detailed information. You should definitely post pictures here --(outside of the unit and the inside circuit) --close-ups with good detail if you can manage... From your description and my basic knowledge of this model, I think yours is a MKIII, but i could be wrong.

well you just need a photo hosting account. (www.photobucket.com is one) it's free to sign up and pretty straightforward. then you upload your pics to your page there, then copy and paste the "IMG Code" from each pic and post 'em here...

Holy shit man!!! :shock: :shock: you got that for a £1!!! Lucky lucky day!! :P I dream about finding bargain fuzz pedals at car boots and in charity shops. That is in pretty fine condition too! Looks as though a few of the capacitors could have been changed though (the green ones) Yeah it's definitely an original MKIV Tone Bender and would be worth £250+ Nice score Brewer!! ~Dave
