Ram Head and BYOC?!?
I am new here so don't shoot me if this is a dead-horse issue. Have a MKII and looking to get a Ram Head. Someone told me the smaller ones were made on BYOC boards as opposed to point-to-point wiring. Is this accurate, how can one tell (buying second hand etc), sonic difference etc? Very much appreciate any info before dropping $$$...thanks.

I am sure good Captain can explain more acurately, but as I understand.... Smaller eclosure RamHead was not point to point, but no longer made. Ramhead he makes now are in larger box, and are point to point. Sound wise... As Ted simply stated.. Makes no difference. I have Small BOX Ramhead and it is great. If you like that "Muff" style FUZZ you would like it too. -- in to a clean amp or Driven...
