Recording Mic question.
Ok, so I recorded a short clip of my two mics separately, but ensips wont play it even though I uploaded it. Any other ways I get you guys to listen to it? I basically have a condenser mic and a dynamic mic and I feel that both don't come close to capturing the amp's character. I am REALLY looking at the Beyer m160, but It is a little out of my price range. I might consider it further if these other mics don't pan out. Thanks for helping.

Perhaps you could start up a myspace-music account and post your clips there like I've done with my vox supreme, dam pedals etc. www.myspace.com/voxsupreme www.myspace.com/damsoundclips www.myspace.com/wemclubmanmkii

I usually use lightningmp3.com. Quick, easy & free.

What's your amp?? Size speakers?? Open or closed back??? Do you want a closed mic sound or a roomier mic sound??

If you want to get a ribbon to see what the character of a ribbon mic is like without spending the cash on an M160, try the T.Bone RB500: http://www.thomann.de/be/the_tbone_rb500.htm I have two, they are very nice sounding for the money. Lots of warmth, not harsh at all like many cheaper condensers.
