looks like the transistor on the right has been disconnected and then put back in (or replaced with another one) - that would probably be the problem.
Interestingly, I also got a dead FZ1A in this number range recently(23,000s - around 1967 IIRC - with 2N2614s). I took the opportunity to rebuild it with new capacitors and a different set of transistors.
