Hello all.
I'm looking to get a Ram in hopefully the next few weeks, and I was wondering what people here who own one like to use them with?
Are there any other good pedals who like to stack it with, or is it used soley on its own for you? Also what kind of amps/guitars do you play them with?
Thanks :D

Only ever compared the Ram to the 70's Muff's. Sounds pretty much bang on. I did score a 1977 Muff a few weeks ago, I think one of the first with the Red/Black silk screen. That was hotter sounding than any EH Ram models I've had even though it has the same transistors.

SG with Matamp and/or WEM amps. The Ram and Muffs in general generally work well with many different combinations. They don't freak out when used with other FX so are a little more flexible in use than the older style Germanium fuelled fuzzes.
I find that they can handle a fair amount of amp overdrive and still sound really damn good.
Muff's are great fuzzes once you find how you like to use them; they are pretty lo-fi sounding so the insane gain and noise can put some off.

Thanks for the input Dave. I'm really lokoing forward to getting to play through one of these bad boys. In a weird way, I love the trashy primal sound of noisy/high gain lofi effects, so I think the Ram will be a perfect fit :D

my ram arrived this morning. this is one of the coolest looking boxes i've seen in a while! hammerite looks great. i popped it open and as ever was in awe of the quality of work inside.
have only tried it through a crappy tranny bedroom amp at the moment, but already it screams BORIS loudly!!!! sounds WAY smoother, sweeter and fatter than any re-issue muff i've tried already. i will be -*test*-('")ing it through my rig tomorrow avo, really can't wait. it'll be paired with a deluxe MH, with a bareknuckle warpig equipped SG going into an orange OTR 120 and orange 4x12. i'll post my views tomorrow, that is if i manage to drag myself away from the sonic bliss!!

i got to let rip with the new small enclosure ram head lasy night, and i am totally blown away. wild, wild pedal!!!!
without doubt the best BMP i have used, or heard for that matter. nails EXACTLY the boris tone (my personal fave muff abusers), and captures the early mudhoney sound well too. sound quality is as always excellent, and the range of tones on tap is VERY impressive - unlike the EHX re-issues. the ram has that smooth yet totally fuzzy tone perfectly. handles both clean and dirty amp settings too, which a surprising number of other pedals cant. sounded just thunderous through my orange half stack set fairly dirty.
can't recommend it enough!!
