Sekova Fuzz Cool little chrome "wedge" fuzz...obviously a copy of the Maestros... I'll put up pictures later, but heres a quick sound clip :
SEKOVA FUZZ

Nice clip - love it in 2nd half when it gets a bit octavey - watch out when the next shiny one shows its head on ebay you've got me wanting one now - I had them reconciled into the "also ran" bin but this one sounded cool - very much a hint of the Gibson/Maestro about it though
Thank you - G 8)

I take it you're pleased with it, Andy?! Sounds great.
is it indeed the same as what i already have?
Btw, I don't think it's octavy at all....mine isn't, at least...and this sounds straight fuzz to me. As mr h c said, "a one trick pony, but it's a good trick!"....not a fuzz to do major painting with but to use as accent coloring"...or something along those lines...
Though, I found that mine doesn't cut thru the mix well with the band (like '65 or Fuzzaround, or Maestro) but good for around the house, all around basic fuzzer...
Graham, you should really consider joining Sickle's Fuzz discussion page, to coordinate, so we don't compete with each other on the next ones...For instance, I found that this last one was the same as one i have, so i passed and Dragonfly snagged it...(at a lower price than if i had been bidding)...it's a good system, A Gentleman's Fuzz Club of sorts...as *this* forum is, but with a specific purpose re; auctioning......to the guy snagging all the high-end Park Fuzz, Rotosound etc...territory, at least work with us small potatoes guys with regard to the mass produced cheapo japanese stuff. I don't wanna compete with you on stuff like this...

i'll get pics posted tomorrow...I want to give a "special thanks" to Sickle for bidding / winning it for me since I couldn't be there when the auction closed.
Its a 2 transistor 9v setup :)

Sounds good. Meatier than I expected.

Dragonfly, could you tell me what you're playing through to record this clip.
IS it an through an already dirtied up amp or a clean one?
Your Sekova sounds WAAAAY better than mine.
Edit -
Hmmm, just took a look inside mine and it seems that yours also has WAAAAY more components than mine too. :(
Looks like I might be joining the hunt for another one of these wedges.
