Sho-Sound (Nashville) Bosstones... What's the going price for one of these units?
I've got one in good nick, one (if not both) of the knobs have/has been replaced, works fantastically and apart from the knobs is in great cosmetic condition, for age - some light scratches and the logo faded a bit, sticker still firmly on the back.
Cheers, Tom

I would say between $125-150.
They are being reissued by mohoney in nashville and they are spot on like the originals

Where may one purchase one of these devices. I have given up building my own pedals for the time being... :(

here's his site:

but just keep an eye out on Ebay, search Boss Tone or BossTone ... I'm sure he'll do more BIN for $75 or just write to him and ask for that price...

No problemo.
They're super small & light, so shipping to UK should be low. and hey, with the dollar so weak and the pound so strong, you should definitely grab one.
Just wanna make sure you know these are not a proper foot pedal. It's a plug in (goes in guitar jack) and about the size of a 9v adapter. Guitar lead goes into that...
Since Strats have a weird jack plate, you would need a special jack plate. (Mahoney sells them). I don't play a Strat, so not an issue...
One thing I noticed is it takes a bit of practice to be able to switch off the effect while playing...without missing a beat. It's a small switch. not a big deal, but we're recording "live" and so I've gotta be on the mark with this kinda stuff...Mahoney also sells a foot-pedal adapter thingy so the Boss Tone becomes a stomp box...pretty cool.
For the money and the thick fuzz it gives, as well as old-school parts, $75 is a good buy, imo. I love how portable it is...It fits in the small pouch on my gig bag. Perfect for traveling "light"...

Thanks again PD, but they also sell a stomp box right?
I want one of those! Not too keen on the plug in copy of the original.

Yes, it's a bit more, like $179 list, but i think he's sold them on Ebay for like $125 or 135 Buy It Now, i cant remember...
if you go that route, you can have him mod it with a switch to cut out the diodes, so then it's an overdrive (no fuzz) with a flip of a switch...It's reasonable, cost wise too...
check out the site for more info...

Love to hear some of your stuff! Got any songs up?

Thanks, we've got 11 songs in the can with scratch vocals, so it's just down to Silvie doing those vocals and then mixing them. It's pretty straight ahead garage rock, so it shouldn't be long.
They're all covers at this point, but mostly non-obvious ones.
On Fyre by The Lyres, Bust Out by The Makers w April March, Bad Girl by The Oblivians (was Bad Boy), Fire of Love by Gun Club, Strychnine & The Witch by The Sonics, Go Now by Miracle Workers, Have Love Will Travel by Richard Berry, I Can Only Give You Everything by Them, The Bag I'm In by The Fabs and I'm Not Like Everybody Else by The Kinks...I'll make a post when I put some stuff up.
