what reference are those transistors ?
it's been a while i'm looking for to identify those transistors used in the MK III and MK IV tonebender's but nobody seems to know what reference and brand they are ! i know they should be germanium but that's all i know ! here's the link : http://forum.metroamp.com/viewtopic.php?t=15727&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=

From what I tell they are STC devices, Standard Telephones and Cables Ltd. http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~wylie/STC/STC.htm I've seen a few MKIII's that have the STC logo on the transistors, no part number though and I've owned a few MKIV's that had the top half of the can painted....maybe to hide the part number?!!?

ah, thanks ! it's been a while i try to know what ref they are ! i suppose they might not be easy to find ! also, it might not be easy to know the exact ref for the one they used in the MK III or MKIV, except they seem to be ACY/ASY.
